Bounded N. by lands of heirs of said VERNON, dec'd and heirs of George Beck, dec'd; W. by William, S. by heirs of late VERNON and lands of Mercer Brown; E. by Mercer Brown.

s/Oct 28, 1790 r/(???) John Hodgens, late dec'd, his relict Mary, declares herself satisfied with sale.

ISAAC VERNON sells for oe67, to Joel sanders 150 a. part of tract orig. granted to Joseph maddock and ISAAC VERNON SR., dec'd (Quakers) called the Mill Tract. Relinquishment signed by MARY VERNON, REBECCA VERNON and MARGARET HODGINS, wife and sisters of above name ISAAC.

James Habersham, Esq. of Chatham Co., and Hester, his wife, sell to Daniel Williams, Planter, of Columbia Co., for 4,000 pounds of "inspected crop tobacco," sells the "Mill Seat," with 50 a. of land on Maddock Creek (Wrightsborough), upon which has been erected a grist and saw mill. (Land orig. belonged to Joseph Maddock and ISAAC VERNON, Quakers. Maddock had gone bankrupt in 1774 and his land sold at auction in Savannah, it was bought p by Habersham. VERNON had died, and his share was all tied up in litigation.)

James Habersham, and wife Hester, of Chatham Co., to Jacob Bull, of Wilkes Co., sell part of tract known by name of "Horsepond" (Horsepens), also 200 a. known as Maddock's Home Tract, also 520 a. orig. granted to Maddock and VERNON. (The Horsepen Tract of 1,100 a. granted by Sir James Wright, in "right of the people called Quakers"), to be used communally. On a resurvey by John Torrence, the above was found to contain 1, 604 a.

(Maddock went bankrupt). Sold by Habersham to Jacob Bull Sr., by Bull to William Smith, bounded by Amos Embree, Mercer Brown and William Scott.

Hannah Townsend [Parents] was born 1 on 9 Jun 1718 in Western Twp., Long Island, NY. She died 2 on 21 Aug 1791 in Deep River, Guilford, NC. Hannah married Isaac Vernon Jr. on 12 May 1737 in Birmingham MM, Chester, PA.

Ordered that a Warr't and Patent be granted as Requested Joshua Hastings, by Lease and Release, dated , purchased of the Prop'ry 1,000 Acres, of which has been laid out in Middletown, county Chester, 472 Acres in one Tract, and in Nether Providdence 340 Acres, which being resurvey'd by Vertur of a Warr't from the Prop'ry dated 17th 7mo. 1701, by I. Taylor, is found to Contain 390 Acres and is Now sold to ROBERT VERNON and John Sharpless, the said Joshua having a right to more Land by Vertue of his said purchase, requests a Patent on the said 390 Acres and a Warr't for the remainder. Besides the aforegoing two Tracts, he has taken up 20 Acres of Liberty Land, which together with the aforegoing, makes 882 Acres, and the Overplow of this Tract being Acres, makes the whole Acres, and the remainder to be taken up is .

ROBERT VERNON having Warr't from the Prop'ry for 285 acres, he desires to Purchase 315 More to make it 600 acres for a Settlem't to two of his Sons and Chooses the N East side of Brandywine, beyond the Barrens, for which he at last offers 10 (pds) 100, complaining much of his loss in not being Suffred to take up his Land before. Granted for Several Considerations as Requested, provided the Land be realy as represented and not culled; John Hope, of Chester County, purchases 200 a's of the Land which was Ja's Stanfield's heading Peter dix's, at 15 (pds) 100 and a Bushell of wheat: to have it at one end.

ROBERT VERNON having procured of the Proprietor in the year 1700, his Warr't for taking up 285 acres the Ramaind'r of his Purchase, by Agreement with the Commissioners obtained their Warr't, dated 23d 9ber, 1702, for taking up 315 acres adjoining to the other to make up the whole 600 acres, but afterwd's threw it up, and the whole Grant was by Consent made Void.
